RESIDENTIAL AIRFLOW: FOUR-HOUR CLASS – Sacramento

As contractors install HVAC systems the principles governing airflow need to be understood. This session covers the basic properties of airflow. How air transports energy (heat). The impact that heat and elevation have on heat transported by air. In addition Title 24 Part 6 design issues including return air duct sizing, the impact of filter on air flow are considered. During the hands-on portion attendees will have the opportunity to use various industry tools to test airflow and measure fan watt draw and to calculate the fan watt efficacy of installed systems. Attendees will be able to use flow grids, the duct tester and try the DG-700, DG 1000 and DM-32 manometers during the program.
